Shiga Kogen

Sprawiling throughout the stunningly beautiful Joshinetsu Kogen National Park is Shiga Kogen, Japan’s largest ski resort. How big is it? With 21 interlinked ski areas, it would take days to experience them all. Easily accessed from Nagano City, Shiga Kogen is one of the premier resorts in Japan. With a season lasting from late-November to Early-May it also offers some of the best snow conditions and scenic terrain to be found anywhere.

With a resort this size it goes without saying that there are runs for every ability level and skiing style. Shiga Kogen’s seemingly endless variety of long perfectly groomed cruising runs, gentle beginner’s slopes, bottomless powder and challenging moguls are serviced by modern lifts and facilities all combined make skiing here an experience that will last a lifetime.

One lift ticket allows you to ride on all of the 66 lifts, gondolas and ropeways. Owing to this multi purpose ticket, you can take the Shiga Kogen shuttle buses running between the interconnected slopes as well.
