Japan Package, (herein called The Company), is a Wholesale division of AWL Pitt Australia Pty Ltd [License No. 2TA5457] and is not it self a carrier, hotelier or any other supplier of services, nor do we have own aircraft, hotels or coaches. The service that Japan Package supplies consist of arranging and coordinating accommodation, tours and transfers, making bookings and issuing receipts and tickets which are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers and all services are subject to the laws of the country where the services are provided.

The Company only acts as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers of transportation and/or other related travel services. While we will use our best endeavours to operate all tours as advertised reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice where deemed necessary. The Company shall not be liable for any damage or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents loss or damage to person or property delays transport failures, fire, flood, earthquake, civil disturbance, wars and uprisings of God etc, over which Japan Package have no control. All expenses arising from such matters will have to be borne by the passenger. The law of the state of New South Wales governs all matters rising to the service provided by the Company but not in respect to other things.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to be purchased at the time of booking for the full duration of travel.

Regrettably cancellation charges cannot be waived and there will be no exceptions. You must advise in writing to your agent if it is necessary for you or a member of your party to cancel your itinerary. The following cancellation penalties per person per arrangement apply:

• If notice of cancellation is received by us 45 days to 31 days prior to departure ⇒ AU$ 220.00.
• If notice of cancellation is received by us within 30 days to 15 days prior to the date of departure ⇒ AU$ 220.00.
• If notice of cancellation is received by us within 14 days to 4 days prior to the date of departure ⇒ 30 % of the total tour price.
• If notice of cancellation is received by us 3 days to 1 day prior to the date of departure ⇒ 50 % of the total tour price.
• If notice of cancellation is received by us on the day of departure or in case of failure to show without notice 100 % of the total tour price.

Refund is given to the full extent permitted by law. No refund is available on unused services after departure from original city or in respect of any tour accommodation, meals or any services not utilised.

Airfare prices and conditions are subject to changes and withdrawal without notification until ticketed. Japan Package can not be held liable for any increases in prices or changes in the rules and conditions of any Foreign currency airfares or increases in airport taxes as they are subject to currency exchange rates imposed on the day of ticket issue. Full payment is required before air tickets can be issued.

Prices in Australian dollars are based on exchange rates current at the time of printing as at 01 April 2005. The Company reserves the right to amend the prices shown where unforeseen exchange rate fluctuation occur or any other increase in the price of services provided which are beyond control. Prices in Japanese Yen [JPY] are to be converted to Australian Dollars at the time of confirmation. The price of your holiday is not guaranteed until full payment is received. A deposit of AU$220.00 per person is required within 7 days from the time of confirmation of your reservation. Final payment is due no less than 30 days prior to departure. Amendment, Changes incur a fee of AU$30.00 per booking. After documents have been issued, an amendment fee of AU$30.00 applies plus any charges levied by hotels, ground operators or airlines. Document reissue is an alteration to an existing booking and not a transfer to another package wherein cancellation charges apply. Late booking fee: AU$35.00 fee incurs when booking is made within 14 days prior to departure. Final payment is due immediately. Land only service fee: If booking land only, a minimum stay of 1 night accommodation is required and a service fee of AU$ 25.00 per booking will apply.

Charges for visa & passport costs, travel insurance, vaccination and medical expenses, excess baggage, airport departure taxes, laundry, postage, phone calls, fax/email charges, beverages, items of a personal nature, tips and meals and activities not mentioned on itinerary.

Please note! All bookings with Japan Package are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by airlines, coach operators, hoteliers and other service providers including, but not limited to shipping, rail, car hire and restaurant operators, whose services we utilise, some of which limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage and Japan Package liability is excluded or limited accordingly.

All descriptions featured in the brochure are based on current international hotel guides and information provided by hotels and suppliers. Any facilities shown as included are subject to change at any time.

Economy class airfare basis.

Passport and visa requirements are your responsibility and Japan Package shall not be held liable for any losses or additional expenses incurred as a result of a passenger not holding the necessary valid passport or visa or failure to ensure that they have correct travel information. Australian passport holders do not require a visa for stays within 90 days.

Please note: it is important to double-check your visa requirements with the appropriate embassy/ consular office as visa regulations may have changed.

Free baggage allowance is 20 kilograms - Transportation of one large suitcase within Japan.

It is important to ensure that you advise us and/or your travel agent of a telephone number or address, where you can be reached within 24 hours priors to your departure from Australia.

All booking arrangements are to be made through Japan Package or alternatively your Travel Consultant and the person affecting a booking shall be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all persons named in the booking. The contract will be governed by and subject to the booking conditions and to the general information unless made in writing and with the authority of Japan Package. All communications from us will be sent to your agent. Your agent on receipt on any tour monies shall hold such monies for each and every person named in the booking until that booking is confirmed, at which time your agent shall promptly remit those monies to us.
