1 Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone

Take a deluxe motorcoach to the foot of Mt. Fuji via expressway, then drive halfway up Japan's highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2300 meters. After lunch, proceed to Togendai for Hakone Ropeway and a cruise on Lake Ashi (Pirate Boat).

2 Hakone - Takayama

Drive to Odawara Station and board a shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city also known as "Little Kyoto". Stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, where there are preserved traditional Japanese wooden houses.

3 Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa

Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Go for a scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as a World Heritage site. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Then visit Gokayama, another World Heritage village, where you can experience making Gokayama Washi, traditional Japanese paper.

4 Kanazawa - Tokyo

Go sightseeing in Kanazawa in the morning, visiting Kenrokuen Garden, Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln, Higashi-chaya Street and former guest house Shima. In the afternoon, return to Tokyo by limited express and shinkansen.
