Climb to the main observatory 145m high for a panoramic view from Japan's second tallest artificial structure.

2 Happo-en (tea ceremony) (35 min)

View nature from every angle at the garden of eight views, which has carefully preserved the beautiful Edo ambience throughout the centuries and enjoy a traditional tea ceremony.

Remarks : When Happo-en Garden is closed, Meiji Jingu Shrine will be visited instead.

4 Imperial Palace Plaza, Niju-bashi Bridge (30 min)

Cross the symbolic double arched bridge which originally led to the Edo castle before fires destroyed much of its wooden structures, and the Emperor of Japan claimed the site as his official residence in 1863.

5 Sumida River Cruise (40 min)

Pass beneath a total of 12 bridges on the journey down the historically significant Sumida River, starting at Asakusa and ending at Hinode Pier on Tokyo Bay.

Remarks : During the cherry blossom season (around 21 Mar - 12 Apr), due to congestion, the Sumida River Cruise ride will be switched to cherry-blossom viewing at Sumida Park. In addition, Sumida River Cruise may be unavailable without prior notice due to river conditions. Changes in itinerary will be provided by the guide.

5 Sensoji Temple (Asakusa Kannon) and Nakamise-dori (40 min)

Walk along a colourful promenade clamoring with traditional food stands and souvenir shops, leading up to Tokyo's oldest and most significant Buddhist temple with a history of over 1,300 years.

6 Ginza (drive-by)

See Ginza, the most celebrated shopping district in Tokyo, along the way to lunch.

7 Disband at Tokyo Station

Tour concludes upon arrival.

  • Sumida River Cruise may be cancelled without notice depending on river conditions. In this case the guide will announce the change in schedule.
  • The location of lunch is subject to change depending on restaurant business hours.
  • The amount of time spent at the Hamarikyu Gardens may vary depending on the reservation time of the Sumida River cruise.
